Trees of Life were originally created by the settlers to evangelize the native, Aztec and Mayan population and represent Heaven. The Mexican people adopted this image as an object of devotion. Since they were already present in their own cultures. Today they are used as decoration, symbolizing the relationship between man, lush nature and creator. They are found sometimes even adorned with Adam and Eve, but more often, flowers, birds, butterflies, snakes, fruits, the sun and moon, all painted in rich and bright colors.
